Main pathways for overcoming hate speech

Pathways to overcoming hate speech Nearly 72% of Armenian society states facing hate speech often, which has negative consequences for themselves and their family. More than half think that hate speech is always present in the speeches of politicians. Considering this, “Institute of Liberal Politics” with the assistance of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Republic of Armenia, implements a project towards combating hate speech. Within the frames of the project representatives of different political parties will partake in 3-day training.

During the training, participants will discuss with the trainers what is hate speech, what kind of regulations are there in Armenia and other states, and how can politicians disagree without spreading hate speech. Training will take place in the “Elegant” hotel, Tsakhkadzor, on 21-22 January.
