On September 22, 2022, a round-table discussion took place within the framework of the “Threshold of Hate Speech and Freedom of Expression” project carried out by the joint efforts of the “Institute of Liberal Politics” NGO and Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom. During the round table, many issues related to the concept of hate speech and the legal regulations in Armenian legislation were touched upon.

Among the participants of the discussion were representatives from human rights NGOs, the journalistic professional community, government bodies, representative from the office of RA Human Rights Defender and diplomatic missions accredited in Armenia.

During the meeting, the analytical research authored by Ruzanna Avagimyan, an expert of the project and advocate, entitled “Policy paper on hate speech” was presented, which was actively discussed by the participants.
