“Bullying-Free Schools” project concluded by a book presentation and an exhibition

On the 3rd of July in Tufenkian Hotel an important event took place. The Institute of Liberal Politics in collaboration with the Dutch Embassy in Armenia and Republican Pedagogical Psychological Center represented the “Development of soft skills as a factor for preventing and overcoming bullying” manual.

Greeting speeches were delivered by the chairperson of the Institute of Liberal Politics Mrs. Tatevik Matinyan, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands HE Mr. Jaap Frederiks, and director of the Republican Pedagogical Psychological Center Lilit Mnatsakanyan.

Within the event an exhibition entitled “Let’s Visualize Bullying” was held. More than 30 drawings reflected children’s ideas about tolerance, mutual understanding and bullying. 3 best drawings received prizes.

They shared their vision about the project.

Teachers, pupils, members of the Institute and many others were present during the event and they all emphasized the importance of combating bullying.

Within the frames of the project research in public and private schools was conducted. The aim was finding out how deep the problem is and what tools are needed to prevent bullying.

Sociological study revealed the main ways of manifestations of bullying. This was an important step toward developing an educational system that is safe for children.

The manual developed within the project was ensured as an educational material by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport.

The project was implemented with the assistance of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Armenia.
